Assignment: create an LP and CD cover design for an album of your choice. I opted to redesign an album cover by a Czech indie band "Zrní".

The design's appearance and physical qualities reflect the feelings that Zrní evokes. The songs sound like imagination rooted in reality; stories inspired by universal experiences of nature. To underline such quality and authenticity, I created paper collages (instead of using computer generated textures). Moreover, the physicality of the paper alludes to the “paper world” described in Zrní's song "Boats".

Surrounded by soft colors of the forest with the title "Follow the Coyote" floating above, a bright-white canine attracts the observer’s attention. The silhouette stands out due to the contrast between printed and blank surface areas. However, it simultaneously retains a connection to the natural shapes of the scenery, belonging despite divergence.

The front of the CD cover boasts a coyote-shaped cut-out. The observer is invited to unfold the cover and "follow the coyote" inside. There the canine lies curled around the disc, guarding the CD's music. Similarly, the LP cover allows one to pull the record out of a paper pocket, a movement in which the inner white circle resembles a rising moon.
